Dermaplane Treatment Benefits
Dermaplanning is a wonderful exfoliation treatment that is safe and effective for most skin types.  Using a sterile surgical scalpel to remove excess dead skin cells form the epidermis (outer most layer of skin).  In the process an added bonus is the removal of peach fuzz from the face. This does not take the place of eye brow waxing and shaping.  Skin will appear much smoother and tighter for days post procedure.  Once the surface dead skin cells are removed it allows for better product absorption.  This treatment can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and scars.  The treatment can be done as a stand alone treatment or added on to a facial.  This treatment is also often recommended as a prep just prior to chemical exfoliation from a peel as it will allow for a more even peel experience and penetrate the product more efficiently.  The treatment itself takes only about half an hour from cleansing the skin to final finishing product.  There is no down time and makeup can be applied immediately following this procedure.  One can expect their skin to be instantly brighter and it's a great treatment prior to makeup applications.  Some of the myths to address is that it does not make your hair grow back thicker nor darker.  Your hair will grow back in just as it was prior to having the treatment.  Typically this service is performed once every 3-4 weeks.
